Weekly EMDR Therapy and coaching

Achieve results in an ongoing therapeutic or coaching relationship, focused on your specific and unique health goals. This may be the right fit for you if you can commit to at least one hour per week and take a progressive perspective on change. Alongside standard EMDR, we will use Attachment-focused EMDR and other such modalities as Ego State and IFS-informed practices, inner child work, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Morita Therapy, mindfulness based practices, and other mind/body approaches to somatic awareness - informed by the latest in research and practice for trauma, stress management, and performance enhancement.

Our work will be action-oriented and goal-focused. All weekly services are conducted remotely at this time, adding to the convenience of our work together. EMDR Therapy and EMDR-informed Coaching differ slightly in the approach to wellness, yet both are based on a three-pronged approach of considering past, present, and maintaining a future focus.

Coaching and Therapy services are considered on a fee-for-service basis, while insurance reimbursement for therapy may be possible through a person's Out Of Network benefits. View rates here.

EMDR Intensive retreats

A premium service. Do more actual work in three days than in three months of weekly EMDR therapy.

Specialized support for therapists, medical professionals, artists, executives, military/first responders, students, and others who want to benefit from more work done now.  Whatever the reason that weekly sessions just won’t work for you, EMDR intensives are available to support you during times you need help the most.

Change-oriented therapy. Do more work in a condensed amount of time, rather than over months. We'll use the latest innovations in Standard EMDR & Attachment-Focused EMDR including Flash, Resource Tapping, somatic/mind-body work, inner child work (IFS-informed EMDR, Ego States), addiction/urge reduction protocols, and more.

As needed, we'll interweave Eastern-influenced wellness practices, mind/body & Polyvagal practices, and creative approaches from a whole person perspective.

Also consider incorporating Fly Fishing into your EMDR Therapy experience. Read more here.

The traditional models of weekly psychotherapy and coaching are shifting to meet your needs. Now more than ever, we need flexibility in how we get support.
  • Perhaps you’ve had a felt sense that something profound has yet to change, but you’re not quite sure how to shift all the way into a new experience of yourself with your current therapist. Maybe you now cognitively understand new things, yet your body is still confused, so you’re curious about how adjunct EMDR therapy can help.
  • Perhaps you’ve been meaning to get into weekly therapy for a while now, but your schedule has been so hectic and demanding that a weekly therapy appointment feels more overwhelming than supportive.
  • Perhaps you’re needing help and you don’t want to spend months in the traditional weekly model of therapy treatment to feel better.

RESEARCH ON INTENSIVE EMDR THERAPY IS POSITIVE
  • Intensive application of trauma-focused therapy seems to be well tolerated in patients with PTSD, enabling faster symptom reduction with similar, or even better, results, while reducing the risk that patients drop out prematurely. Learn more here and here.
  • Intensive EMDR treatment is feasible and is indicative of reliable improvement in PTSD symptoms in a very short time frame. Learn more here.
  • An intensive program using EMDR therapy is a potentially safe and effective treatment alternative for complex PTSD. Learn more here.
  • The economy is compelling: even compared to other trauma therapy, the intensive format may decrease treatment time, because of time not spent on a) checking in at the beginning of each session, b) addressing current crises and concerns, c) focusing on stabilizing and coping skills that the client won’t need after trauma healing, or d) assisting the client in regaining composure at the end of the session.
