Frequently asked questions
What should I do if I’m in crisis?
Counseling Without Walls is not a crisis center and does not provide emergency services. If you are in immediate danger or need urgent help, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room. You can also reach out to:
988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988) — available 24/7
Veterans Crisis Line — call 988, then press 1
Crisis Text Line — text HOME to 741741
If you’re not in immediate danger but need extra support, please reach out to your therapist to discuss next steps and resources.
Is my information confidential?
Yes. Everything you share in therapy is strictly confidential and protected by law. There are only a few exceptions to confidentiality — such as if there is a risk of harm to yourself or others, suspected abuse, or if required by a court order. Your therapist will explain these limits during your first session so you fully understand your privacy rights.
Pricing at Seiyu varies depending on the type of service, length of session, and whether the service is clinical, transpersonal, or professional training.
Clinical psychotherapy sessions are $200 for a 50 minute session and $336 for 53 minutes and then hourly, with intensive formats ranging from approximately $2,800–$3,000. Seiyu is considered in-network with BCBS PPO plans, and out-of-network reimbursement support is available.
Transpersonal services are typically $200 per hour, with past life regression intensives offered on a sliding scale.
Professional development services including clinical supervision, EMDR consultation, and training courses are priced separately based on format (individual, group, or course-based).
For current rates, group pricing, and training tuition, we recommend visiting the individual service pages or contacting our team directly.
Two business days are required to cancel a one-hour appointment. Extended or intensive appointments are non-refundable despite the reason for cancelation, due to the specialized and custom nature of the scheduling. All late or missed appointments, except in cases of environmental or medical emergency, are charged using the authorized billing method at the full rate of the services scheduled. Discounts may be applied at the discretion of the clinical director. For questions about this policy, please reach out.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes. We’re in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO in most states where our clinicians are licensed. If you have another insurance provider, you can use Mentaya to apply your Out-of-Network (OON) benefits. Mentaya handles reimbursement directly, so you pay less out-of-pocket and avoid the hassle of submitting claims yourself.
Payment is due at the time of service unless other arrangements have been made.
For clients using insurance, co-pays or out-of-pocket balances are collected at the start of each session.
We accept most major payment methods and can provide invoices for reimbursement through Mentaya or your insurance provider.
Yes. Training and education grants may be available to help reduce the cost of Seiyu Institute courses. Grants are a form of free financial aid that does not need to be repaid and are often based on financial need. Many students access funding by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), which may open eligibility for state grants, federal grants, and institutional aid.
If you are a Vermont resident, you may qualify for the Vermont Grant administered by VSAC. If you live outside Vermont, we recommend checking your state’s workforce or education grant programs as well.
